hp_tattoos Community Guidelines



  • hp_tattoos is a closed community. Anyone can join, but only members can post and only members can reply to comments.

  • There are links under RESOURCES on the community page for a high resolution Dark Mark, the U.S. Chapter Art by Mary GrandPré, and a photo of the U.S. chapter header stars. These are asked for A LOT, so we've made an effort to make them easily available for members.

  • All posts are moderated and will appear in the comm after being approved by a mod. These guidelines need to be followed in order for your post to be approved:

    • All posts need to be on topic. Posts about non-HP tattoos (unless included with an HP tattoo post) or other non-tattoo posts are not allowed and will not be approved by a moderator. Artist recommendations and idea posts, as long as they are HP related, are okay.

    • Please make all posts members only. There are communities whose members copy and post pictures without permission for less than friendly purposes. If your post is locked, only members can see it and it will hopefully deter photo pinchers.

    • Please tag your entries, especially if you've posted pictures.

    • If your photos show a lot of skin and might not be appropriate for work or kids, please mark as NSFW.

    • PG-13 Photos should be posted behind an lj-cut. Your post will not be approved without it. If you include a cut with your post, it'll save both you and the mod who checks it a little trouble.

    • If you're posting large photos or lots of them, an lj-cut is appreciated but not required.


  • Members that post pictures from this group to other comms will be banned without warning. We're not here to make fun of you or to take your photos, and we'd appreciate it if you don't do it either.

  • If your tattoo was taken from hp_tattoos without your permission and posted on another community, please visit the profile of that community and send the moderators a private message and ask them to remove it. If you see another member's tattoo posted without permission and think they need the heads up, please let that member know. DO NOT post the information at hp_tattoos, but contact that person privately via PM.

  • Rudeness will not be tolerated at hp_tattoos. Moderators reserve the right to delete any and all posts or comments. Constructive criticism is appreciated, "that tattoo sucks" is not. If you are having a problem with obnoxious comments in one of your posts, please contact a moderator. We're all Harry Potter fans here and there's absolutely no reason to be an ass.
